Medicare Fraud/ Health Care Fraud
In a recent case involving Medicare fraud that I am handling on appeal (United States v Roberts) involving health care fraud we are challenging the conviction of our client based upon comments made by counsel that offended the Court and jury concerning gays.
You should always be cognizant of trial issues which might arise during the course of a trial and this case illustrates just such a situation. The Eleventh Circuit will ultimately hear this issue and it illustrates why when a defendant elects to go to trial that unexpected issues may arise which may assist you client in the case you are handling for him.
